Is PBN still a thing?
Are they still helpful in building backlinks?
I found this on reddit and I can only shake my head
It’s crucial to stay away from such people as in the reddit post, in SEO as well as in life
Indoctrinating their bs to you
They are thinking in methods, schemes, categories, never understanding foundations or the whole
Sadly, 99% of the SEO industry are like this
But not you
What’s a PBN?
What makes a PBN a PBN is not about a technique, method or scheme
It’s the purpose on why you created it which makes it a PBN
Technically it’s the same as someone else’s blog or website
But you created it not for posting content for others there to read, but to solely use it for link building
So asking if PBN is still a thing is the same as asking if websites are still a thing
The words ‘Private Blog Network’ describe WHY you created it, not HOW
With a search engine like Google that almost entirely relies on links to calculate its rankings it makes no difference WHY you created it. It’s a website with content and links on it. For Google it is not distinguishable if you created the blog to please your readers or if you created it to place there links.
At least not if you’ve done it right.
And that’s the reason why those questions appear everywhere.
People aren’t doing them right.
They are making mistakes everywhere.
- Picking the wrong domains
- Leaving footprints in their setup
- Placing the links wrong
Everything done wrong. That’s why they don’t work for them.
Because they made it so damn easy for Google to see WHY the site and the links got created.
If you do them the right way, they work wonders.
I created 14 lessons covering everything you need to know to successfully create and operate Private Blog Networks at any scale: https://store.ralf-christian.com/buy/ea867e38-df04-41e5-9880-4b5f5e4f2743
They are one of the best investments you can make in SEO. Period.
You can use them to make your own sites rank. You can build them for clients, delivering the results they are looking for. You can sell links from them, not even caring about your own rankings.
You can post questions on reddit or you can start building your first PBN today.
Your decision.

hello,
I’m interested in your course : “PBNs Done Right”
Can you tell me what your course “PBNs Done Right” includes ?
Does it include how to manage multiple wordpress (managewp etc…) ?
Does it include how to protect multiple worpress (security plug-in etc…) ?
Thanks in advance for your answer.
Regards.
I only touch WordPress superficially since I believe everything is already said about WordPress all over the net. The main focus of ‘PBNs Done Right’ is about how to evaluate expired domains and how to pick them. I cover the underlying tech of hosting and setting them up. It doesn’t matter here if you do it in plain HTML, with WordPress or some other CMS like Drupal for example.
After that we cover how to use your PBN, how to create content and how to link. I just updated the linking part with a 2025 update. Finally I cover how to run and monitor your network, some security aspects and we talk about footprints and pitfalls.
My approach is always to teach the foundations so you understand the underlying principles. When you understood those you can apply them with any system.
If you want to use WordPress I would recommend a Multisite installation. It’s a special ‘mode’ to install WordPress so it is able to handle multiple blogs.
If there’s demand I can make it a bonus part, but I won’t get into details on how to install it. You can easily find that info on the net and I see no point in repeating something that’s all over the net and charge money for it. When I charge money for info I want to provide you with info you can’t just google. That’s what’s in PBNs Done Right.
